Too many products on the Cross-Sell Map
This article is for Crush users and admins whose Cross-Sell Map lists more products than they need. When you finish, the extras are hidden in Filter — or the template no longer generates them.
Relationship Map-only customers do not have Cross-Sell. This page is Crush-only.
If you have not created a map yet, start with Use the Cross-Sell Map.
Hide products in Filter
That is usually a view problem, not a data problem. Hide the extras in Filter. Filtering does not delete products, cells, or Salesforce records, and it does not change the Account Plan Score.
You need Crush access and an open Cross-Sell Map. The same Filter control is on freeform and template maps.
- Open the Account Plan and the Cross-Sell Map.
- In the map header, click Filter.
- Find the product names in Rows or Columns — whichever list shows them. Your org chooses that pairing.
- Uncheck the products to hide. Example: uncheck Sparkling Water. Leave the products you still need checked.
- Click outside the popover. The unchecked product leaves the grid. There is no separate Save.
The choice is stored for you on this map. A teammate still sees every product until they filter their own view.
To show a product again, open Filter and check it. To show every header on that axis, also check Rows with data and Rows without data, or Columns with data and Columns without data. There is no Reset button.
Amount Types, Highlights, and Show Unhighlighted in the same popover do not remove product headers. Unchecking an amount type hides its chips and totals only. See Cross-Sell amount types and Cross-Sell highlights.
If the catalog itself is too wide
Use these only when the map should not include those products for anyone — not when you want a narrower view for this meeting.
Freeform. Open the gear → Edit Rows & Columns and remove the product. That deletes the header from the map. Prefer Filter when you only need to hide it.
Template. You cannot add or remove headers on a modern template map.
- Open the Cross-Sell Template in the PROLIFIQ CRUSH app.
- On the axis that lists products, tighten the record filters. Example: add a condition where Product Family Equals Beverages.
- Save the template.
- Refresh maps that already use it, or create a new map from the template. Changes to a template can change the data on existing maps that use it.
When you create the map, the template picker can also show Only data related to this Account under Filter {object} (Rows) or Filter {object} (Columns). Check it to limit that axis to records related to the plan’s account.
The picker will not create the map if either axis would have more than 100 headers. Tighten the template filters, or check Only data related to this Account, until both counts are 100 or fewer.
Org Settings Filtered Objects for Cross-Sell Templates only limits which Salesforce objects appear in the template builder. It does not hide products on a map you already opened.
Errors and edges
- The grid went empty. In Rows or Columns, both “with data” and “without data” are unchecked, or every product is unchecked. Check those boxes again.
- The product is still there. You filtered the other axis, or you unchecked an amount type or highlight. Those do not hide headers.
- A teammate still sees the product. Expected. The filter is per user, per map.
- I cannot add or remove a product. You are on a template map. Change the template, or use a freeform map. See Use a template-based Cross-Sell Map.
- The template picker blocks create. One axis exceeds 100 headers. Narrow the template’s record filters or check Only data related to this Account.
