Cross-Sell highlights

This article is for anyone who color-codes Cross-Sell cells, and for the admin who defines those colors.

Relationship Map-only customers do not have Cross-Sell. This page is Crush-only.

What a highlight is

A highlight (the object label is Cross-Sell Highlight) is a named color you apply to a cell. Teams use it for white space, a must-win intersection, or a competitor hold.

Highlights work on both freeform and template maps. They tint the cell. They are separate from data types (picklists) and amount types (numbers).

Apply a highlight to a cell

  1. Click the cell.
  2. In the panel, open Highlight.
  3. Choose a value.

To hide cells that are not highlighted, open the filter in the map header and uncheck Show Unhighlighted. Use the Highlights checklist in the same filter to show only certain highlights.

Make a highlight available on maps (admin)

  1. In the PROLIFIQ CRUSH app, open Cross-Sell Highlights.
  2. Click New.
  3. Enter a name and a Color (#rrggbb).
  4. Decide how maps get it:
    • Check Apply To All Cross-Sell Maps (the default) to offer it on every map.
    • Uncheck that box, then add the highlight to specific maps with Cross-Sell Highlight Association related records. If you skip the association, the highlight exists but sellers will not see it on those maps.

You can also associate a highlight from the map’s related records when you are targeting one map at a time.

Errors and edges

  • The highlight I created does not appear on this map. Apply To All Cross-Sell Maps is off and this map has no association. Check the box or add the related record.
  • I cannot see any uncolored cells. Show Unhighlighted is off in the filter. Turn it back on.
  • Highlight vs data type. Use a highlight when you want a cell tint everyone can scan. Use a data type when you need a picklist value (and, on template maps, a colored chip). You can use both on the same cell.
